Pathways to a Diverse Professoriate: AGEP National Research Conference
Conference Dates: March 15 - 16, 2018
Location: Berkeley, CA

Pathways to a Diverse Professoriate: AGEP National Research Conference invites abstracts on research related to diversifying the academy at the graduate, postdoctoral, and professorial levels in the STEM fields.

Going beyond best practices, this conference will highlight research-based conclusions and recommendations emerging from the National Science Foundation-Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate awardees. We welcome reports on research at various levels of analysis (e.g., individual, group, departmental, disciplinary, institutional, national). Individual submissions will be organized thematically by the conference host, and abstracts will be selected as oral presentations, round-table discussions, and posters.

A selection of outstanding abstracts will be invited for inclusion as full papers into a proposed special issue for the Journal of Social Issues (APA, Division 9)

Registration and abstract submission may be completed at the same time or separately. Abstracts are due January 8, 2018. All individuals or Collaborative research teams who have an AGEP-funded project or award are welcomed to present their research findings and submit an abstract.

Submissions must be no longer than three pages, including figures, with no more than 500 words of text.
